I'm excited to host the Sacramento Cake Picnic, inspired by the beloved SF Cake Picnic, where bakers and baking enthusiasts come together to share their love of cake! This event is a wonderful opportunity to exchange recipes, meet like-minded bakers, and connect with others who share a passion for creating sweet treats. Participants will showcase their homemade cakes, and at the end of the event, we’ll all come together to taste and enjoy each other’s creations. It’s a celebration of community, creativity, and, of course, cake! Itinerary
2:00 PM - 2:15 PM: Check-In
Guests arrive and check in at the registration desk.
Provide name tags, event program, and any necessary materials.
Direct guests to the cake display area and seating.
2:15 PM - 2:45 PM: Cake Set-Up & MingleParticipants place their cakes on display tables.
Arrange cakes in an organized manner for easy access and viewing.
Ensure each cake is labeled with the name and recipe details.
Guests mingle and socialize while the setup is completed.
2:45 PM - 3:00 PM: Short Photo
Everyone gathers for a group photo.
3:00 PM - 3:45 PM: Cake Tasting & Sharing (45 min)Guests begin slicing and sampling cakes.
You can only sample as many cake slices as you brought (Ex: 1 cake = 8 slices = 8 samples).
Enjoy the cakes while socializing.3:45 PM - 4:00 PM: Clean-Up
Begin cleaning up the event space, including disposing of trash and packing up unused materials.
Ensure all leftover cakes are properly stored or donated.
